I have been waiting for someone to bring this up about what led
up to this or why it happened.:dis:

My personnal opinion is I wish they wouldn't have thrown bottles.

I'm under the belief this was done to ABC on purpose for thier
unprofessional antics and being such pro-USuck.

I think they deserved to have beer poured all over them or something else a little less harmful.

I have to admit I chuckled a little bit when the incident happened
because I thought that ABC and thier sorry ass announcers got what they deserved.:cuss:

I just wish they would've needed to be rescued by a helicopter or something to get them the Hell out of the state.

    Any opinions?:helmet:

I dont know what lead up to it either, but the bottles they keep talking about were PLASTIC. Seen on the Sooner thread that was pasted on an AU board where they made a bigger deal than what it was because people heard bottles and they acted like they were glass.

    Bottles?

I thought that selling bottled liquids in the super dome had ceased years ago due to roudiness of Saints fans. If the Dome officials allow the selling of bottles of anything during a sporting event there, they deserve, IMHO, to reap the consequences.

I know you should'nt throw anything, but LSU will get the blame for throwing bottles. Not plastic or glass, just bottles.

We seen the bottles fly at the end. You get that many people together the law of average says youll have a nimrod or two, Its not like it was raining bottles or anything, just a couple. Drunk idiot trying to be cute i guess??? Nobody hurt luckly. I didnt dampen the evening at all. We were in the OU section (south endzone i guess) they took their loos in stride it seemed like?? they shook our hands cogradulated us and made a hasty exit.

You guys scare me if you think that we should condoine the throwing of anything by anybody at any sporting event. Scary. You ever wonder how a 16 oz. coke in a plastic bottle would feel if it hit you in the head after being thrown from the upper deck of the Dome, could easily kill someone, glass or plastic.

Only the basest moron and coward would throw ANYTHING out of a crowd that could cause physical injury to anybody - even the ABC sports announcers.
Even when it is deemed "harmless" it is still dangerous. Anyone remember the "orange game" vs. Florida State at the end of the 1982 season? Oranges were flying out of the stands each time LSU scored and especially at the end of the game. It seemed kind of cool to me. I was on the very first row of the stadium and was covered with orange pulp from the oranges exploding all around me. It was great! Then I saw WWL sports anchor Jim Henderson take one in the eye. He was badly injured and could have had his sight damaged. Wore a patch for a while.Again, at the time the throwing of oranges seemed like nothing more than fun, and it was. But if you get hit by one and injured the experience is quite different.
Throwing a bottle from the stands, even a plastic one, is the work of an idiot.
