This is so rediculous. San Jose St. had this team beat.

They need to put back in the strength of schedule meaning more because it differentiates the big boys from the rooty poots.

Any way it goes down that hurts the big conferences.

If the SEC doesnt get aggressive with the NCAA then the national media is going to continue to screw our conference.

This year is the exact reason for the playoff.

Maybe Fla. winning and getting left out will force the SEC hand.

Plus Ark losing so badly to USC has hurt us big time.

Fla. needs to beat Ark and that rectifies their loss to USC and deservadly leaves them out for screwing the SEC.

i agree the BCS needs to stop changing the formula.

However, the lesser confrences do need a chance at the money.

I'm pretty sure it just makes them BCS eligible, it doesn't automatically give them a bid. I just can't see how BS would be more attractive a team than LSU, Arkansas, Auburn or Tennessee to a bowl selection committee.

incorrect. I believe the rule is if you are the winner of a non-bcs conf and finish in the top 12? you are an auto-qualifier

    3. The champion of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, or the Western Athletic Conference will earn an automatic berth in a BCS bowl game if either:

    A. Such team is ranked in the top 12 of the final BCS Standings, or,
    B. Such team is ranked in the top 16 of the final BCS Standings and its ranking in the final BCS Standings is higher than that of a champion of a conference that has an annual automatic berth in one of the BCS bowls.

No more than one such team from Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference shall earn an automatic berth in any year. If two or more teams from those conferences satisfy the provisions for an automatic berth, then the team with the highest finish in the final BCS Standings will receive the automatic berth, and the remaining team or teams will be in the pool of teams eligible for selection by the bowls as at-large teams.

I never said they were not qualified what I said is that I don't believe they automatically go to a BCS game, I know they are qualified.
