New bin laden audiotape released today. Interesting that he talks about our opinion poll over and over again. I'm sure the republicans will use this as evidence that those opposing the war is helping the enemy to fight on.

But we all know they would fight on regardless what we say and do...

This transcript is from Fox News

    Bull****.

    He's scared...

He talks about our opinion polls because he is attempting to pray on the ignorance of Americans.

He wants a truce so that he can have time to build up his resources & build Iraq/Afghanastan the way he wants without our involvement.

    A truce . . . get real, Osama.

Their last sanctuary from us is in the mountains of Pakistan and we hit them there last week. If we are finally starting to go after them in Pakistan, then bin Ladin is worried for sure. Iraq is a distraction that kept the US off his back for three years, but Bush has to kill Bin Ladin now in order to proclaim any kind of victory over al Qaida.

It may mean war with Pakistan, of course. But they have sheltered Al Qaida for three years and it is time to give them up.

It is time to give them up but we've been flying over the Pakistan border region since the start of all of this. You think that just started? Drones and our planes fly over there all the time.....any time we get info that somebody we want is somewhere, we launch a strike and people die.

But flying over with drones and putting people into a definite kill zone is something else entirely. The Pakistani government doesn't even want to go in there. We would have to put 50,000 or more troops in that border region to really do what we want to do. You think the insurgency is something in Iraq? Put troops down in there and see what happens.

Don't think for a second that this stuff is just starting and that we don't have anybody on the ground in those areas.....cause we do. But the enemy doesn't know they are there.

Covert flights, yes. But last weeks air strike was overt. This is something new.

Try to occupy the place? Not a chance! Even The Bush administration must now see the folly in that. But air strikes and Special Forces operations can be mounted . . . and apparently are. It's about time.

    And vice-versa, of course.

"Iraq has now become a point of attraction to all qualified people the mujahadeen who by the grace of God were able to infiltrate all the security measures that were taken by Coalition forces."

that seems to imply that it is true that we are fighting them there rather than here. bush is awesome.

He states openly that al Qaida went to Iraq because we are there. Having failed to repeat an attack on the better defended US, they are taking advantage of all of the easy American targets we have provided in Iraq. And talk about cheap! They can drive fighters to the war in Toyotas where they can kill Americans with the rifles and land mines that they already have. Bush is pathetic.

Sounds like Bush's plan worked to me - fight them there instead of here.
