This is why I think Blanco has a shot of being re-elected. Louisiana voters aren't the smartest people on earth. And yes, fast Eddie would easily win if he could run again.
Absolutely incredible. I am convinced that the current system of electing our leaders is not working because the vast majority of adults are too stupid to vote. There should be an IQ and current events quiz on every voter registration application. Kind of like some elite golf courses where you must pass a basic skills test before being allowed to play on the course with the decent players. Why must we smart people be forced to live with the decisions of idiots (lightly tinged with sarcasm)

In New Orleans it is actually an advantage for a politician to be under investigation, or even better, indicted.
Give me a "do nothing know nothing" over a "do nothing unless you grease my palm" any day of the week.
Translated for the layman, that means that most of the City of New Orleans isn't qualified to vote (or drive). Having grown up in the city and gradumated (sic) from a NO public school, I feel that I have a right to be condescending. Especially when "Dollar" Bill is involved.
