No, just no. Why? Because a highly touted 4 - 6 star recruit who comes in as a freshman behing a stable of sophomore, junior, and senior 4-6 star recievers cannot possibly be expected to contribute right away. Plus as stated, he is only a junior now.

Josh Booty was a bust b/c he didn't live up to his potential, and Cecil was a bust b/c he didn't play as much b/c he was an idiot and couldn't stay out of the Pen. I would say that constitutes a bust.

I'm just going to have to disagree with you. The top players in the nation at skill positions usually start and contribute effectively.

Leonard Valentine was recruited personally by the head coach. He ended up at Nicholls St. and only shared playing time there. That, my friends, is a bust. And from about the same time, Robert Davis was mentioned earlier. Yes, I believe he was near the top of all the gurus lists at the time. Ran for about 60 yards on his first play for the Tigers (against T A&M), scored on the next play, and was never seen again.

Back then I only got some radio show about recruting but he was viewed as one of the best, if not the number 1, RB in the nation that year. He was Alabama's Mr. Football and set most of the state HS records. He was supposed to be a sure thing but after his first game, he couldnt do anything. He left after his soph season.

He was considered a major catch for ole Dirty Hallman but he turned into the biggest bust I can remember.

....and LSU would not have struggled to beat Vandy 7-6 in that game as I sat in the stands in Nashville!!!
