What are some of the biggest LSU recruiting busts in any sport? I have to say Josh Booty, Cecil Collins. What do you all think?lefire:
Re: Biggest Recruiting Busts off all time!!! All-SEC quarterbacks can't be possibly considered busts. Losing Marshall Faulk to SDSU has to be the worst recruiting blunder of all time. I also have to believe that LSU could have looked at Warrick Dunn and Travis Minor a lot harder than they did.
Re: Biggest Recruiting Busts off all time!!! Booty is a good choice but Cecil was a retard not a bust. Lester Earl from the post below is also a good pick. I would add Brad Smalling who was supposed to be the best OL ever to step foot on campus.

Re: Biggest Recruiting Busts off all time!!! Most schools in the country made the same mistake. Those who recruited him wanted to move him to DB. Didn't matter how hard LSU recruited them, they weren't going to LSU. Catholic of BR and LSU weren't on the best of terms during the mid-90s under Hallman and DiNardo.

Re: Biggest Recruiting Busts off all time!!! Gah this makes me think of Titus Ryan for Alabama's '03 class. Dude was 6'2'', 195 and ran a sub 4.4! He played at my rival HS and torched everyone for yards at every position. He had the nickname "The Truth" around Tuscaloosa but the kicker is that he probably couldn't spell his own first name :dis: It's a shame that some of the best talent doesn't even make it to the field because of stupidity.
