    The only kind of news that ever comes out of out of fall camp is bad news, so let's hope he's exaggerating.

    Rumor is that a "high profile player" is "no longer on the team".

    Try not to speculate, guys. I know it's hard.

    I'm scouring the internet and trusted sources to see what I can dig up.


    Whatever it is, fellas....this is NOT good.

    Yeah, LSU is going to announce a huge dismissal just in time for Fan Day on Saturday. It'll really drive up the turnout.

    BATON ROUGE - There is likely to be a significant announcement concerning the LSU football team at noon today.

    LSU athletic department officials have been letting every media member they can contact this morning know that a previously routine press conference with coach Les Miles scheduled for 6:15 p.m. has been moved up to noon today, and they are informing reporters that they need to be there.

    Such practices are not used for routine press conferences during preseason camp. LSU informs media members of changes in regular press conference times via Twitter, not via officials calling reporters individually as they have done today.

    "LSU coach Les Miles will meet with members of the media today at NOON in the TEAM ROOM," LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette just said in a release to reporters. "This is a change from the original schedule, which had him meeting with the media after the second practice today."

    LSU associate vice chancellor and associate athletic director Herb Vincent has also been contacting reporters about the press conference.

    Miles closed practices this week earlier than scheduled and has not given a reason. Neither has anyone else at LSU.

    I'm seeing rumors of disciplinary action on prominent player. Haven't seen dismissal. Gotta be Mett or Mathieu. They're about the only two we would hold a presser like this for.

    My personal opinion is that it's Mathieu.

    I'm reading rumors that he has been dismissed from the team. Hopefully they are just rumors.

    Ok, I'm hoping that little Nicky got caught cheating....their win against LSU vacated, and the crystal trophy will be headed to BR. :) In real news, looks like Priest Willis will not be taking his unofficial this weekend due to death in the family. Also, Gilmore is in the middle of two a days at his NC HS and he won't be unofficially visiting either. Shouldn't be a big deal since both are supposed to have officials in the fall...I believe both will be at LSU for the Alabama game.
