nah the best thing is... The best thing is 3 teams look to finish undefeated and they again have controversy, which means a change is in order i mean how many damn times do we have to have problems with this system... to many times has one team been left out who obviously deserves to be there... it is crap... even if they just did a championship game after the bowls... let 2 and 3 play and 4 and 1 play winner plays in the final game or even have those game the weekend after the championships there would be no avoiding teams... now without strength of schedule teams can just play cream puff schedules... and that is crap...
But we still need to see Auburn take over #2 spot in both polls for their to be a real full-blown controversy. And Auburn just came out 4 points behind OU for 3rd place in the coaches poll. Still remains to be seen if the AP voters do the right thing and give Auburn a fairly comfortable lead in their poll for the #2 spot. If Auburn finishes 3rd in both, then the controversy is minimized (3rd in both polls and a distance 3rd in the computer polls = you don't deserve to play in the NC game - in the BCS people's minds).
Funny thing is, had Utah somehow got upset, Texas was still screwed because of the FSU and Michigan losses that would have allowed Boise State to move up to #6 in the BCS rankings. So they would get a bid over UT, just like Utah. And Louisville is waiting now in 7th spot. So there was NO way for Texas to get into a BCS bowl after the FSU/Michigan losses. That was their protection, and it went bye-bye. Isn't life peachy?
