i'm new to new orleans and was wondering where is the best place to watch the game with fellow tiger fans. thanks.
Obviously, I don't live there any longer, but The Fox and Hound was a good spot...on Clearview...right before you get to the Huey P. Long bridge.
Fox and Hound definitely has the most (and biggest) TVs. However I find the drinks and food overpriced. Not too overpriced though and there will be a good crowd. Fat Harry's is a college crowd but only a couple of small TVs. I'm not too familliar with the uptown/college bar scene but I'd bet there are a few good places. There is a new Liuzza's in Kenner that is nice. It is kind of small but the walls are COVERED in LSU stuff. The owner's son is Matt Liuzza of the LSU Tiger baseball team so you know it will be a pro-LSU crowd. I've never watched a game there but I'd bet its a good place to watch it. Hy-tops is a sports bar in the CBD by the Dome. However it is VERY expensive and there will be more tourists there than locals. There's always Hooters.
Well, its on West Metairie road just past the Metairie/Kenner border, so its not TOO Kennerish. We could call it "West Metairie".
Pacific Cafe in Lakeview on Canal Blvd. It's near parkway. I think it has a new name now like K&J or something close, but the owner is a big-time LSU supporter and always has good prices on drinks (especially Sat.) and the bar grub is decent. Vision's also has a big screen TV and the atmosphere is great, albeit distracting.
