The 04' recruiting class( 5* Xavier Carter, 5* Early Doucet, 5* Claude Wroten, Glenn Dorsey, Herm Johnson etc.) is regarded by many to be the most talented recruiting class in LSU history. With the way our 09' class is shaping up so far, it will no doubt be one of the best in history. Do you think this class will be the best in LSU history, eclipsing 04'?

Way to early to give an honest answer to that. It's pretty exciting, but I want to see who signs on the dotted line at least before I compare classes.

The '04 group won a National Championship. It's hard to get any better than that.

Let's allow the '09 class to come in and set their own expectations and standards.

I am very excited about the future of LSU Football.

My poll is based soley on speculation. It has nothing to do with what they actually accomplish while at LSU. Before any of the 04' recruiting class had played a single down at LSU, they were already calling it the most talented class in LSU history. My question is will we be saying that about this class when the last players signs on the dotted line?

I think '04 lived up to the hype, with a few exceptions(X-man for example). Considering this class may be as highly touted, and what appears to be a very selective focus on both great athletes and responsible students/young men, this class may meet expectations we don't even dream of. By that I mean going far beyond just winning a SECC or NC, but taking their own place in Tiger legend. Can you imagine when this group are juniors/seniors? Leadership and a definite personality in this class. Previous classes seemed to plug in spots of need, but this class seems to stand alone to me in terms of personality.

It will be wonderful to watch them grow.

Its like counting on a victory with time still left on the clock. As a an LSU fan, you know that anything can happen. So I won't vote what I believe in fear of angering the gods of college football. Let's wait and see.

It is building up to that, but we won't know for sure until February.
