T Boys outside of Mamou. They've won MANY contests. One recently in Lafayette. I like several places' very much but none come close to this one. Worth the drive. We go and buy a supply of raw/vacuum packed and cook it at home.
I always used to stop at Billy's in Krotz Springs as we would come into town. Now that I live in Mandeville, I am enjoying trying every different boudin that I can. Hell, Rouses is pretty ok. I do like Billy's though. This website has lots of independent reviews of boudin from all over. Boudin Link - Reviewing Boudin and Cajun Food in Louisiana and Beyond As soon as we buy a new house, I plan to start making my own sausage and boudin. I've been wanting to do that for a long time.

I love that link. They have boudin reviews from all over the State. I saw this on it. It's a picture of T Boy. Great guy. Family of 7, I think it was. All very great work ethic. Family of hard-workers. This is his joint.
Not so fast. Scroll all the way down and they're on the bottom of that long list. They got an A-. T Boys got an A+.
You have Earlys ranked 1st in traditional and specialty? First of all Scott is a town of roughly 7 people (I may exaggerate a little but you get the idea, it's small). Earlys barely makes the top 3 places for boudin and cracklin in Scott and that's because there are only 3 places in Scott. 1. Best Stop (best on the planet, not even open for debate) 2. Dons 3. Earlys
