We have a Led Zep thread, how about The Beatles...

Top ten (although like Led Zep, tough to narrow them down, and in no particular order):

    1. Something (George Harrison was underrated!)
    2. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (see above)
    3. I Want You (She's So Heavy)
    4. Paperback Writer
    5. Ticket to Ride
    6. In My Life
    7. Norwegian Wood
    8. Get Back
    9. A Day in the Life
    10. You're Gonna Lose That Girl

The one that first popped in my head was Rocky Racoon, I don't know why but I love that song

The Long and Winding Road - Makes me weep

Also the song on Sgt. Peppers about the girl leaving home. Dont recall the name, since I have a daugther that song is gut wrenching.

I really like Lucy and Sky with Diamonds. Just because its pure acid use... Not that I do acid but having someone sing their acid experience is unique.

In no particular order (except for the last)

    Elanor Rigby
    Let It Be
    Eight Days a Week
    Drive My Car
    Here Comes the Sun
    Yesterday
    Day Tripper
    Something
    Hey Jude

And drum roll please, my favorite Beatles tune and a tune Joe Cocker did a pretty good job of covering . . . . . .

She Came In Through the Bathroom Window

Ahhh and here is where it all comes to a tragic end. You see I'm not a fan of the Beatles, never have been. I'm not saying that they didn't have what would probably be the most profound influence on anything we consider rock music today, I'll give them their due, I just don't have to like them. With that said, IMO there is only one fairly decent good beatles song and that would be

    Revolution.

    Good night now!
