OK.. I feel I should do this. :hihi: :thumb::thumb: No, really... I would like as many of you to come out to the PMAC Friday night to come see Tigerama. It's our only performance on our own of the entire year. It starts out with the two top concert ensembles. They play LSU Rhapsody (for those that don't know, it is basically an incredible medly of all the LSU songs, my favorite song... ever....) and God of Our Fathers. Then The Golden Band from Tigerland comes out and performs all of our school songs and halftime show songs. The LSU Colorguard and Golden Girls dance to all of our songs. It is at 8 on Friday night; doors open at 7. It is $10 a ticket. They are sold either at the door, or on LSUSports.net. When the show used to be in the Union theatre, it would sell out the two nights Tiger Band would perform. Because of the high demand for tickets, it was moved to the PMAC. Please come out and support Tiger Band. Some of you may have had some Tiger Band guys come out last Saturday before the game and give you a flier (it may have been me.... :thumb: ). We would like as big of a crowd as possible this year. Thanks for all of the support. ~BergeGFK :lsup:LSU! P.S..... Sorry for the advertisement. Please continue to argue on why / how LSU will beat Bama... P.P.S. lefire:
Living in California it wont be possible for me to make it. But is it possible to donate a ticket to someone who could ? If i could buy a ticket for some kid for charity do you think there is a way!!! Just wondering? I think the band does a great job and would like to show my support.
Sadly, I don't think much of the $10 goes to the band anymore... Because it is in the PMAC it goes through Tiger Athletics, and I think they take some of the money (I believe the tickets were $7 dollars in years past)... Now, on the opposite end of that... Tiger Athletics does a LOT for the band, including send the full band on our annual away trip (sent us to Vandy this year, but that's ok... we will forgive them if they send us to Neyland next year... :hihi: ) I am mostly concerned with the attendance of the PMAC... When it was in the Union Theatre, it felt completely packed both nights, but now in the PMAC, the place feels vacant because the place is so huge and it is hard to get that many people to attend a band concert (in essence...) .
Is the band not going to the bama game? That would have been my pick of the games to go see and visit? Oh Well. Keep up the good work.
Hey, have you learned how to play "Rammer Jammer" yet??? Nah JK man...I hope to God that we can hear this after the final tick. Did you guys know that the AD actually tried to ban this cheer? I know that it's kinda unsportsman-like but c'mon, you'd love it if you were a Bama fan! LOL They actually took a poll from every student. I think about 200 were opposed to it. Oh and LSU's band is prolly the loudest in the SEC! Pretty good too. You guys do a great job and Im sure you're gonna be loud as hell in BD next Saturday. Ahh, why dont you guys just miss the bus? LOL
A pep band of about 100 is going to Bama. This year, for some reason, the athletic dept thought it would be cheaper to send to full band to Vandy instead of Bama. The tickets were cheaper yes, but they did not think about the distance and the inflated cost of hotel rooms (Nashville hotels are obviously more expensive than Tuscaloser hotels).... From a friend of mine who crunched some numbers estimated that Vandy cost $25,000 more than Bama would have.... Oh well.... I'm still going to Bama, and that's all that matters to me...
I think I might go see that... the GF will be at a baby shower friday night.. its either go see the concert or go see Zachary play Istrouma (Zachary is ranked #2 by PelicanPrep.com (rivals), Istrouma 5th)... tough call.. tough call...
I'm coming with the wife and chirrens, bought 4 tix online a few days ago. Any chance the GG's will wear the bikini outfits?:usaflagwa:yelwink2:
