    2. Here's a quote from coach Marvin Lewis about one of his rookies: "He's going to be a big-time asset for us when we get into the season ... He'll make a big impact."
He was talking about wide receiver Bennie Brazell, the Bengals' second pick in the seventh round. The Bengals think they have a good one in the former U.S. Olympic team hurdler who played football only part-time at LSU. Brazell has plenty to learn but he has impressed with his grit as well as his ability to zip by corners. Which is why, less than a week into training camp, Lewis is talking about the 231st overall selection as if he has already made the team.

    Good for Bennie:thumb:

PLUS he hasn't been arrested, which is saying something for a Bengal.

Do us proud, Bennie. Hopefully Palmer can make it back, because there's just about no chance that Wright can take advantage of his deep speed.

Bennie has got just the absolute PERFECT opportunity here.

Chad Johnson is the 2nd best WR in the game, and demands doubles.

TJ Houshmandzadeh demands 2 defenders sometimes, too.

Chris Henry, assuming he isn't in the state pen, is a SOLID 3rd WR.

Bennie in there as #4 could be lethal.

But geez, do those bengals have a tough schedule. The annual 2 games with the Steelers and the Ravens will be tough, but they also play the Chiefs, the Patriots, the Bucs, the Panthers, the Falcons, the Chargers, the Colts, the Broncos. that is 12 of 16 games, all with teams who are potential playoff contenders.
