He made a nice catch last night and I remember seeing #17 on the field mulitple times during the game. How much of this was because other guys were out and how much because he earned PT in practice?

What ever got him on the field, it was good to see him out there. There's nothing like Olympian speed at WR.

I was watching at a buddy's house, and we were very excited and happy for Bennie. He's a great athlete and has earned his opportunities on the field. He made one good catch and nearly made a spectacular catch. I'm just glad he didn't hurt his neck with the way he landed. Great effort on Bennie's part.

As much as I like Bennie, I don't think he was playing a lot because he "earned it". Bowe was out...Buster was injured. Bennie HAD to play. If not, that would have left us with just Skyler, Early and Xavier--and the last two almost dropped more than what they caught.

I doubt he would have played if Bowe and Davis were healthy, but this is football and injuries happen. Glad to see him step up and contribute when needed.

I wonder if Amp Hill was watching the game thinking that could be him out there...

And one of our players (can't quite remember who) said it best when they said, after being asked about Amp's decision to leave, said, that it was probably best for both parties because they don't want anyone that doesn't want to be here.

Last night would have been Amp Hill's party and we would still be tooting his horn today. Amp really screwed up. No way he could have foreseen the circumstances, but when you stick with something you always come out ok.

Amp made a decision that changed his life - last night was perfect for Amp. The hurricane, the frustration, the opportunity, the chance to have the sun on his face and he wasn't even in the arena.

Amp made the wrong decision and there is no doubt in my mind that he knows it.

Everytime I saw Bennie out there I was yelling "BENNIE!!!"... I love seeing a senior special teams guy get on the field with the main units...

Im proud of him too. He has stuck with football when many would quit. He goes out every day and risks his track career because of his love for LSU. GEAUX Bennie!
