Having looked at the list of times of interest for Game Day above, I am sooooo hoping that the Kentucky game (that I'm coming over) to see is a night game, but I know the chances are slim. The list above just looks perfect for a day of 'getting involved' (aka Drinking, eating, dancing, singing/chanting, chatting to randoms, flirting with female randoms) for hour after hour before kick off. If the Kentucky game isn't at 7pm cos of TV commitments, what times can it be? 11:30am? 1:30am? 3pm? (Or am I making those times up?) I notice the Tigers have back to back home games, with the other game being against Florida the week after, does that increase the chance of the Kentucky game not being moved to a late morning/early afternoon kick off time? Or am I just clutching at straws??? Either way me and my mate are going to love it, just always wanted a college night game after I first started looking into this 'Sports and Food America Trip' that we are about to start later this month.
Each network has time slots that, for the most part, remain the same, week after week. Games are selected for each time slot based on the magnitude of that game as it relates to other games being played that same day, so games in other weeks are mostly irrelevant. The SEC time slots will most likely be as follows: 11:21 - SEC Network 2:30 - CBS (Game of the week, CBS gets first pick) Multiple time slots between 5:00 and 9:00 on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU The biggest game that week will be 2:30 on CBS, and will probably be Alabama @ Florida. ESPN2 has already picked Ole Miss @ Fresno State at 9:15. The remaining games that week: Buffalo @ Tennessee #16 Mississippi State @ Georgia Auburn @ #12 South Carolina #7 Texas A&M vs. #14 Arkansas* Kentucky @ #2 LSU If I was a betting man, I'd say Buffalo @ Tennessee will be PPV, and either Mississippi State @ Georgia or Auburn @ South Carolina will be the early game on the SEC network, and the rest will be in night slots on one of the ESPN networks.
