Beer Brats

    I made these for the first game, and I think I will repeat for Bama. The brats are so juicy they squirt when you bite them.

    Beer brats

    -fire up the grill
    -put 8-10 brats in a tray or pan. Add sliced onion and enough beer to cover
    -SIMMER (not boil) for 20 minutes
    -remove brats from beer. Discard beer/onions
    -place brats on grill to brown (~10-15 mins.) Turn often until they are browned
    -Serve immediately, OR - make a new batter of beer, onion, and a stick of butter. You can keep the brats warmed in the batter until ready to eat.

    NEVER, EVER PUNCTURE THE BRATS

    Serve on buns with mustard, onions from the batter, or saurkraut if you like.
