just FYI for those of you at work or anywhere you have to listen to the game, it will be broadcast on ESPN but Musburger will be doing the call so.......... if you wanna hear musburger talk about how he feels USC is better than both of those teams, except for OU maybe, then go right ahead, just be prepared.

I thought bowl money was handed out BEFORE the games were played, making the outcome irrelevant financially for teams not involved.

    1. I'm not surrounded be either fan base so I'm in the clear.
    2. I voted for Florida because I want the SEC to dominate in championship games.
    3. I'm not an SEC loyalist. In fact, I like cheering against SEC teams on occasion.
    4. If the sink hole were a viable option and would not take billions of taxpayer dollars I'd be all over it and hope they declare Utah the National Champion.

dont let little facts get in the way of irrational reasoning.

i sure hope UF wins so they improve our strength of schedule.

also, UF is hardly taking any of our recruits either.

i think the under armour and other hs all-star game shoulda been renamed to the urban meyer invitational.

You know sometimes I just come here to read what you have to say. Thankfully, you never let me down. :hihi:

I voted neither. I could careless who wins this game. I hate florida more than i hate bama and OU, well their bowl record speaks for itself. I do wish Urban Meyer would pull a Fatty Weis on the sideline and blow out his acl tonight.

I think each team gets a predetermined amount to help cover travel expenses.
Anything over that goes to the SEC and it's divided up and distributed late spring. That's my understanding.

I think Red had a senior moment. The $17.5 million for the BCS games is per team/conference win or lose.

As I hold my nose, go Gators!

The win by the gators 2 years ago helped open the door for the SEC champ (Tigers) last year. A third-time-in-a-row SEC team winning the waterford will help immensely in reserving a spot in next year's game....probably against USC....because the SEC will have thumped the Big 10 twice and the Big 12 (in their glory year of 2008) once.:thumb:

This is the biggest reason why a Florida victory can somewhat benefit us. An OU victory solidifies further the lovefest for all things Bob Stoops.

At least, each year, we have a chance to control our own destiny where the Gators are concerned, but we don't face Stoops.
