Oh wtfever. Didn't the new BCS system redo this past season and LSU still came out as number one? That's all that matters. The thing I like about the BCS is that it's fact-based. The other polls are subjective and have biased tendencies. NO! Don't allow them more input!

I think one of the common misconceptions is confusing the BCS as being a computer ranking system or something. I think you are trying to refer to the computer component of the BCS, which I agree is a much more fair way of ranking teams.

The BCS as a whole is 2/3 non-fact based and 1/3 fact based because only 1/3 of the BCS equation includes the computers.

I don't claim to be an expert :thumb:

Though I did know about the five parts of the system.

I think its bullsh!t how all season long USC was saying their schedule was harder and therefore a better team. Then at the end of the season we beat them at their own game(SoS), make it to the Sugar Bowl and win. Its such a crock of sh!t. :cuss:
Why are they gonna take out strength of schedule and quality win and team loss component? That would mean weaker teams or teams that schedule cupcakes and who dont have a conference championship could easier get to the championship game. Does USC really have all this pull to change the rules so they can be there year in and year out? I mean their conference is a joke and with no conference championship its worse.
All conferences should either have a championship game or not have one. One or the other. Just seems like the odds are stacked in their favor. After all the BCS BS and playing Georgia twice (which hurt our quality win) we still made it to the Sugar Bowl. I just think all of this is horsesh!t and I may stop reading and watching ESPN. No RESPECT, still. :cuss:

    You mean the Kobe/Shaq network?

For all of you who let ESPN get under your skin, just watch the ESPN News Network. It's all the sports without the commentary.

Ivan Maisel pretty much implied in his article that he has a brain the size of a pea, which I think most of us already knew. And then again, this is the same fool that did not even have LSU in his preseason top 25 last year.

So what will it be like this year? Let me guess.....USC will love this new BCS cr@p till the very end when LSU will be picked as the peoples' champ. Then all of a sudden Petey and his boys will once again be crying to the BCS.

    New Formula encourages weak scheduling.

The new formula favors teams with weak schedules and no conference championship.

This is a conspiracy against LSU and the SEC. The national media jackals don't like the South, and have thrown out the SoS factor simply to make it harder for a SEC team to win it all.

I don't like it one bit. Remember the year that Tulane went undefeated and claimed the NC? Sure, they played a weak schedule, but there was no BCS and SoS factor. This overhaul of the BCS seems to be a return to those subjective days. I don't like it.
