No he hasn't. The examples you gave do not indicate that he has been inconsistent, only flexible.

In politics it doesn't matter what you are...but what people perceive you are!

I have to admit; that is pretty funny. "I'm not a liar, I'm just really flexible with my statements."

I would agree with martin that Obama has certainly not fufilled his promises regarding foreign policy. However, I think he a) was perhaps a bit too naive to the inner-workings of politicis to fully comprehend what it would take to do those things, and b) tries to appeal to the conservatives by aligning with some of the things they've supported throughout the "war on terror".

I think Obama knew all along that many of the things he promised to do we're impossible and also counterproductive. But he knew that he could prey on the lack of sophistication of the public and tell them those things anyways. I think Obama probably agreed with most of the bush policy but had to say he didn't to please the left.

But it is also possible that he was naive and a better understanding of the policy convinced him that bush and Martin were right all along.

Moderate pragmatists are the ones muddying up everything with their, "well the left is just as bad". Now no one in the media can call Mitt Romney out on his bullshit without faux news crying about the liberal media bias. It's not bias when you call a snake a snake.

Promises unfulfilled are not the sole responsibility or fault of the President...

Martin said Obama was inconsistent on foreign policy, which is untrue. Not fulfilling all of his campaign promises is another matter entirely. What politician has?

But what exactly has been inconsistent about Obama foreign policy? Be specific.

fair enough, i could have used a better words. he has not been consistent with what he said he would do. meaning his words as a candidate and his actions as a president are not the same. but he has been fairly consistent with respect to his actual policy in practice. again, i am happy with the way he has handled foreign policy.

to be honest i do not see a huge difference between barack and romnerz on foreign policy. romney would be more loyal to israel, which is....well i dunno how i feel about it.

the only real thing i care about is that romney seems more aggro regarding iran.
