we are deep enough to make a run in the sweet 16...to win it all that's doubtful

but hell carmello did it by himself last year so nothing's impossible

we run a solid 7 deep but 10 are capable

mitchell, minor, lloreda, koundjia, bass, whipple, and hudson are all solid

nelter, lazare, and thompson are all capable of playing some quality PT

wolfert and maravich are restricted to mop-up duties

If these guys gell and play smart team basketball they have the talent to go far. Hopefully soon because I see a couple of future NBA stars out there.

neltner isnt good enough to make the 8 man rotation and see real playing time? wasnt that dude kentucky mr basketball?

if he is and LSU can go 8 deep then that should be enough depth to make a serious team.

    Neltner was Kentucky Mr. Basketball.

I have been to all but 1 of the b-ball games this year. My early assessment of Neltner is that he is a bit timid. No doubt due to inexperience. He hasn't had very much PT compared to the other big guys. I still think he will be a good one once he learns how to play the college game. Obviously college B-ball is a different animal from HS B-ball.

I wouldn't be surprised to see his PT go up as the season goes on.

He was Mr. Basketball but he was not recruited by Kentucky or Louisville. He apparently played in a weak region and it was a down year for talent in the state. I think he will be a solid contributor in the future. He's a big man with the ability to score from the perimiter. My guess is that he is probably a decent free throw shooter as well!!!!! Yay, Lord knows we need some FT shooters.
