i agree. bert has been excellent from the pen, and i was surprised, and happy, that ross went so far yesterday. hopefully that meltdown is nearing an end. i also dont remember pick offs this weekend like we had problems with during that 7 game slump. however, hitting is anemic. 4 hits in 7 innings? give me a break! and on saturday, having four of the runs being unearned because of errors was the killer. sat and sunday both, the pitching held together pretty well. they just didnt get support from the d and or backed with runs. was frustrating to watch.
