I dunno about you guys, but I think Barrington Edwards could be a great runningback, but with LSU being so loaded at RB he might not get many carries. I was curious to see what yall think will happen with him? Perhaps a position change? somehow get another year of eligibility so he has a better chance at starting? Transfering to a different school? etc. etc. I just think he is a great athlete and would love to see him on the field.

I doubt he is going to transfer, he wouldn't of come to LSU if he was going to transfer because he had to know that he wouldn't get a shot behind Addai (who is only a year ahead of Barrington), Broussard (another freshmen who was rated higher than him), and Justin Vincent. I'd love to see him go to the WR spot, make the same change that worked out good for Devry. And, I heard that he didn't want to redshirt his freshmen so I doubt that he would redshirt now.

I believe Saban said he has more potential than the other running backs, just needed time.

The guy has been here one season, and you're talking about a position change?

He has as much up-side potential as the other two. He catches the ball out of the backfield as well as JVincent, and he has almost the same power as Ally.

His fumble late in the game vs Miss State is what put him behind the the other two. Up until that time, he was about even with JVincent.

He has worked tirelessly at practice on the scout team, asked not to be redshirted before the season began and agreed to play special teams if need be. He doesn't complain. He fulfills his role.

He's a stud waiting to happen. Wait and see.

Some recruiting gurus actually had Edwards rated higher than Broussard so you never know.

Know what I like about that guy? he lays the wood on special teams. Look on the field next time for punt coverage and tell me if there is a guy with a bigger smile than him. He looks like he loves playing for LSU to me. Every single time I see him he is either laughing or smiling. I love that attitude.

I agree with Bull & Deaf, but Vincent is playing so damn well now, you gotta let him run with it ... Edwards will get his carries in time in mop up, relief, and injury replacement. And, it'll be hard to push him out once he's the #1 and his chance has come. I've never seen film of a HS RB so damn impressive.

Ain't it nice to have such a problem? All OU can do is talk about NEXT YEAR when they can get Adrian Peterson!

I also feel that Edwards will be the best of the 3 freshmen backs when all is said and done.
