If he can make grades, yes. The guy can play football.

Was it grades that got him in trouble here? If so, not to knock out own academics, but UNC is widely known for their academics by the average fan more so than we are (but, I might add, with the new academics center, we're starting to get that rep.).

I thought I read on here last year that the problems were he was not attending classes and may have not been staying awake during the one he attended. I wasn't there but it was not directly football related. From what I heard.

The kid can play. I anticipate hearing his name this season...

I thought the same thing--but wasn't sure on the specifics. I remember reading something Saban had said, immediately following Edwards' dismissle, citing something along the lines of: "....had problems with the university administration", or something to that effect.

like i said on the other thread The problems with the university administration was that he shot some people with a pellet gun from his on campus apt. balcony. The admin, after saban stuckup for him, decided he could stay in school but had to live off campus. Then he started having trouble with grades, not going to class, sleeping in calss and leaving class early, plus a couple other off campus incedents adn saban had finally had enough. if you don't believe me then oh well. Also if you say why wasn't this mentioned before then go back and look up post when B.E was here and you will find these things mentioned.

They're saying great things about him on the Hill. He start along side Ronnie Mcgill and Vincent Young, a 4 star from FL will likely be in the 3rd spot (sophomore this fall). Hard to believe UNC has had more 1,000 rushers than anyone in college football.

Absolutely true. It was a Wal-Mart purchased .177 caliber lead pellet air pistol (not a rifle). Barrington absolutely enjoyed "busting a cap" in his "homies" during their visits (harmless fun for college kids). It escalated when he popped a "portly" woman in the butt and complaints went straight to security & admin admin. Then there was another incident. Don't know what the hell the kid was thinking to shoot people he didn't know because he was such a great talent (Nick had to nail him, responsibility for one's actions) :dis: Maybe one of his homeys put him up to it, who knows. Maybe that tune "Baby got back" was playing and he just couldn't resist a sweet target. He probably has learned his lesson and I think he'll tear up his conference when he gets a chance, all the best to him. After all, he wears an LSU 2003 NC ring.
