Or so says Pat Buchanan. Sure, the guy is a bit of a crack pot from time to time, but he makes at least a couple of salient points. And at the very least, will get some good discussion going here!

    Just a snippet:

    PHP:
The rioters are of Arab and African descent, and Muslim.  While almost all are French citizensthey are not part of the French people.  For never have they been assimilated into French culture or society.  And some wish to remain who and what they are.  They live in France but are not French.
The rampage began October 27 when two Arab youthsfleeing what they mistakenly thought was a police pursuitleapt onto power lines and were electrocuted.  The two deaths ignited the riots
Interior Minister Nicholas Sarkozya candidate to succeed President Chiracis said to have infuriated and inflamed the rioters.  Before the rampage beganhe promised “war without mercy” on crime in the teeming suburbs where unemployment runs at 20% and income is 40below the national average.  He has denounced the rioters as “scum” and “rabble.”
Like the urban riots in America in the 1960s
which the Kerner Commission blamed on “white racism,” Paris’s riots are being blamed on France’s failure to bring Islamic immigrants into the social and economic mainstream of the nation.  Solutions being offered range from voting rights for non-citizens to affirmative action in hiring for the children of Third World immigrants.
To understand why this is unlikely to solve France’s crisisconsider how America succeeded, and often failedin solving her own racial crisis.
    While, as
late as the 1950sblack Americans were not integrated fully into our economy or societythey had been assimilated into American culture.
They worshipped the same Godspoke the same languagehad endured the same Depression and warlistened to the same music and radiowatched the same TV showslaughed at the same comedianswent to the same moviesate the same foodsread the same booksmagazines and newspapers, and went to schools whereeven when they were segregatedthey learned the same history.

We were dividedbut we were also one nation and one people.  Black folks were as American as apple piehaving lived in our common land longer than almost every other ethnic group save Native Americans.  And America had a history of having assimilated immigrants in the tens of millions from Europe.

But no European nation has ever assimilated a large body of immigrant peopleslet alone people of color.  Moreoverthe African and Islamic peoples pouring into Europe—there are 20 million there now—areunlike black Americansstrangers in a new land, and millions wish to remain proud AlgeriansMuslimsMoroccans.

These newcomers worship a different God and practice a faith historically hostile to Christianitya traditionalist faith that is rising again and recoils violently from a secular culture saturated in sex
Severed from the civilization and cultures of their parentsthese Arab and Muslim youth may hold French citizenship and carry French passportsbut they are no more French than Americans who live in Paris are French.  Searching for a community to which they can truly belongthey gravitate to mosques where the imamsmany themselves immigrantsteach and preach that the West is not their true homebut a civilization alien to their values and historically hostile to their nations and IslamThe soaring Muslim population is a Fifth Column inside Europe

Neverthelesstheir numbers must grow.  For not only do they have a higher birth rate than the native-born Europeansno European nationsave Moslem Albaniahas a birth rate (2.1 births per womanthat will enable it to endure for many more generations.  The West is agingshrinking, and dying

Yetto keep Europe’s economy growing and taxes coming in to fund the health and pension programs of Europe’s rising numbers of retired and elderlyEurope needs scores of millions of new workers.  And Europe can only find them in the Third World
Nor should Americans take comfort in France’s distress.  By 2050there will be 100 million Hispanics in the United Stateshalf of them of Mexican ancestryheavily concentrated in a Southwest most Mexicans still believe by right belongs to them.

Colonization of the mother countries by subject peoples is the last chapter in the history of empires—and the next chapter in the history of the West—that is now coming to a close.

pat buchanan is cool because he isnt afraid to be unpc.

he is a kook, but a smart kook, and i always liked his isolationism, until we got so deep in problems we couldnt afford to be isolationist anymore.

the guy from indiana jones, sallah, who was also the axe swingin dude in lord of the rings, jonathan rhys-davies, he says in every interview how crazy dangerous muslims are, and how they are spreading like mad in europe. it always reminds me of the story of that dutch theo van gogh dude who made that movie the crazy muslims hated, so he was killed.

you cant reason with those mad A-rabbs.

    Bump.

Come on, we're talking about barbarians (read: primitives) taking over because they like to procreate and riot more. How does this not get more of a response??

Is it so taboo that now we have to type in code??

Seriously, the lack of ANYONE (even the wackos here) arguing with it tends to make me agree that everybody agrees. Oh well. This should be a campaign platform, I guess!

I think his column is pretty much right.

France has 60% tax rates, government protection of your job, so much redtape no one can open a competitive business.....these people are allowed into the counrty but not assimilated into French society at all. They aren't allowed to have productive lives under the socialistic French system.......they are outcasts. I would round them up and deport them.

The French will end up giving them their own section of town, unpatrolled by Frenchmen and leave it at that.

Just says something about all those European fruits who criticize the US for our stand against these lunatics. Before they meddle in our national security, they should get their own houses in order. Appeasement won't get you anywhere with the muslim community. They are nothing more than a different shade of nazi, hell bent on taking over the world. I think what is happening to France is funny as heck. This has been happening to a lesser extent all throughout Europe in these muslim communities for quite some time, now the pot is boiling over. Michael Savage was calling attention to this months ago, before these riots hit the mainstream media. Maybe the UN can step in and help them deal with them.

i dunno why i never thought of saying that way. that is really effective. cheap, but effective.

i would love it if polticians could talk the way we can. if they can admit that islam is not a religion of peace, that would be sweet.
