Baby Shula and his staff have closely studied the second half of the LSU v. Tenn game. They are convinced that screen passes, draws, and the short passing game is the way to move the ball on LSU.

Brodie Mop-Top will be releasing the ball very quickly after the snap. Darby will come out of the backfield looking for a quick pass over the middle.

The Bama coaching staff explained to the players that, if Bama executes well and plays mistake-free football, Bama will win. The Bama players talk amongst themselves, and they think that LSU will make some mistakes, and that will be the difference in the game.

The LSU Tigah players and staff know that if LSU executes well and plays mistake-free football, LSU will win.

    Comments? Thoughts?

Well that is the only half of SEC football that we played poorly, so it would make sense...

They had better throw it quick, because they won't have more than 3 seconds to throw it...

They better sell the draws, because they won't have but an inch of a hole...

    Our D-Line owns their O-Line

if im baby shula... i run toss sweeps with Darby and 10-15 yard slants.... LSU couldn't defend Auburn when they did it... we just let AU drop the ball....

Bama don't have the line Auburn has!

I do agree with you if they did though

I don't think LSU played a great first half against Vandy, the second half wasn't all that great either until the 4th quarter. The second half against UF was good enough to win the game but still not impressive.

You're right about Bama having to throw it quickly though. I expect Brodie to be in the shotgun for most of the game and I expect him to take the snap and fire. The problem with that is a new starting center who is VERY inexperienced and could muff some snaps. From what I hear the gameplan is to run draws and screens so you're right about that too. I could see screens working fairly well but draws are a different story. We don't run the ball outside very much but that might change against LSU. We're going to have to do something differently if we want to run the ball effectively.

You are correct... I meant that was our only half we played poorly DEFENSIVELY...

Thank you for the correction, because you are right :yelwink2:

I hope ya'll run some screens, our dline does a good job of recognition. If only they could catch.

There is no doubt Alabama will have issues on the O-line. Croyle will have to have a very good game against a very fast defense. We really don't run on the outside.

What does LSU do to counter Alabama's speed on defense?
