I think Bama went with someone inside the Bama family just to restore order to a sinking ship. When times are bad you want someone that is inside the family to get things moving forward again. However, I think Shula is going to find some rough going because of the probation and the recruiting problems this probation creates. Shula will have two to three losing to breakeven seasons. It will be up to how patient the Bama fans are going to be while all the healing occurs. Other SEC programs are not going to forget about the troubles and they will not let the recruits forget either. Without the level of talent required to win in the SEC you can win a few but you wont win consistently. I think right now with Saban at the helm of LSU: the Tigers will be the team to deal with year in and year out in the SEC west. The LSU program is in good shape and has a solid foundation to keep getting stronger. Geaux Tigers
