I have been in the woods since the game ended yesterday. I started reading through some of the threads but quit because I'd rather not get myself aggravated if I don't have to. I got a chuckle out of a few posts because a lot of the same people who only show up here to bitch are back in force. Fightin Tiger and danthetigerfan come to mind. After OSU, after Auburn and, of course, after Georgia, they were here railing against Saban, Fisher, Randall and anyone else that dared not play a good game. They'll be gone again by Monday evening. But if we dare to let Florida stay in the game with us, look for their "insight" next weekend. For those 2 and several others like them, please understand that the LSU Tiger Football team did not do this to you personally. They are embarrassed, I'm sure, and it will be up to them to straighten things out. Now, bitch yourselves out and get the hell out of here.
It seems that when comments are made they are made on the level of being of a football mind not a bashing of the team. Also will everyone is upset and disappointed by the game, I have seen no one say that they are in physical pain and torment from the teams loss. A fairweather fan is not someone who makes comments, it is someone that only goes to games and/or supports the team when they are winning. And are quick to stop all together when times get tough. They fact that some of us can look at the game and say maybe things should have gone this way or that, seems to make us the true fans of LSU FOOTBALL and not just Nick Saban and his Nation Championship. No one has called for his head on a platter, all that has been said is that some of the calls were in bad judgement. Everyone, even Nick Saban makes BAD choices, thats called being human. And all though fairweather fans piss me off to no end, there are some people on this board that can not see the forest for the trees, and that is worse then being a fairweather fan that is being an uninformed moron, drone! Some post I have read if nick Saban came on and said "Alright everyone lets go jump off the Mississippi River Bridge" there would be people lined up all the way to the 10-12 split. All i am saying is don't always look at things through Purple glasses. I have been a fan even before I was born, but I am a fan of LSU FOOTBALL and I cheer for LSU FOOTBALL not the man, whoever it may be at the time, walking the sidelines. Saban won't be here forever and if he becomes bigger then the program then we will find ourselves in the same boat as Bama and we will be searching for the next "BEAR".
i think the biggest problem isn't just the "lsu fan" but the people that don't really understand football. this is the first post i've made about the game because there are soo many bs post from people who think they understand the game. one example is "what happened to our cb's", the passes you saw in the game would have been completed in the nfl. daniels have good tech. and really good coverage on the td's. if you understand the game and have been watching since last year there was no difference on the coverages, the difference was the lack of pressure and the perfect throws by green. if anyone doesn't understand what happened to the team yesterday you haven't been listening to saban talk about the lack of maturity and leadership on the team, it had nothing to do with speed, strength or talent, you seen a team get its butt kicked because they were not ready to play. i can't remember a lsu game with such a lack of focus and thats not something you can blame on saban. week after week you've heard saban talking about it so i don't think its something thats gonna just change in one week. if you're a true fan you take the bad with the good and just support the team and stop the crying.

I'm just not sure if you are using "lsu fan" as a generic term or calling me out by name. I've been supporting this team through thick and thin. I don't call out players or coaches and try to be supportive no matter how badly or great we may play. I do try to be the voice of reason when it comes to national polls and such, but all in all I don't feel that I make sweeping comments about coaching, the players, or anything like that. After reading your post several times I get the feeling you used "lsu fan" as a generic term, but I wanted to make sure.
a coach can only do so much, its on the players to show maturity and focus on their job. do you think saban is doing something different this year and thats why they aren't focused? why you think hes been making such a big deal about beating the man in front of you before trying to do anything else? a player has to develop maturity on their own, this is not something that a coach can teach, if you don't understand that i don't know what to tell ya about a young kid growing up to be a man.
Saban disagrees with you. "Corey let the guy get on top of him a couple of times.Daniels was right there and he didn't make plays on the ball and that's something we've done in the past." That is getting beat, plain and simple.
