I am sure Brady has his reasons, but can anyone else figure out why Koundja is starting over Mitchell right now? His ball handling and shooting just aren't there yet and even his defense leaves a little to be desired. I am sure he will come around but Brady seems insistent on playing him even when he is consistently off.

He said he keeps Mitchell on the bench so he doesn't have to many freshmen on the floor at once. I personally rather him come off the bench with Minor. Minor and Mitchell are the quickest backcourt I have ever seen. Koundja can't shoot, but he can play defense pretty well. Did you see that insane block against Bama? He just went up and slammed the ball into the ground.

I don't really know but I will try and guess:

    1. his size
2.good practice player,(in other words Elvis Gerboc syndrom)
3 Mitchell as spark off the bench?

I'm sure John Brady sees things we don't since he sees things
in practice that we don't get to see.

I was VERY ENCOURAGED from the game yesterday!!!!

I thought for sure we lost and the way we came back and won
    shows character.
Darrell Mitchell has stepped up BIG TIME the last 2 games.
He hit those 2 big 3's yesterday, if he missed them no way we
    would've won.

Alabama outplayed us the 2nd half and we found a way still to
    win.

I was upset the 2nd half because we didn't play Brady Ball, we
didn't play Defense like his teams play.
Giving open shots to Winston and he took advantage of every one.

Our guys will definitely have to play better saturday against Miss
St or we will lose, I just hope they don't think they can dig themselves in a hole and get themselves out next time.

But on the bright side, Darrell Mitchell is starting to shoot well
    from the outside.

The problem with the offense is no one has been shooting well
    from the outside all year.

This team is young and they don't have the Identity in the backcourt yet, thats why everyone plays zone on them.

Until Mitchell and others and respond by consistantly knocking
down the outside shot this will continue to happen.

But you have to look at the positives

I too am frustrated with the way the offense has been but they
    are going to get better.
    Its the Identity thing..................
The guards just need to shoot with more confidence, not hesitate
when they put up the outside shot.

Darrell Mitchell must have a ton of confidence after yesterdays game.
If he has 1 more game like that I predict the defenses will have
to play a little more honestly against us.

I'm very encouraged because we don't have a true Identity in the
    backcourt and we're 2-0

IMO, he plays Koundjia over Mitchell so he doesn't "burn" Mitchell's stamina

when it's crunch time, notice who was sitting the bench: Koundjia and Whipple.

Mitchell and Minor will be on the floor during crunch time well-rested....Koundjia needs the experience and he is a very capable defensive player....his offense really needs to come around quick though

When this teams learns how to score points, they will be very very good. Their defense is spectacular, they just have to start shooting the ball better and also they need to start taking better shots.

Kennedy Winston is a great player. To complain about him hitting 18 foot fadeaways with a hand in his face is going a little far. He made some great shots and that is all that can be said.

The backcourt had its best game of the year yesterday and hopefully they can continue the good play. Bass and Lloreda combined for 24 points and we still won the game. That is because the backcourt stepped it up.

You need a 6th man to be successful. Mitchell gives LSU that spark. Otherwise, if you use Koundjia to come off the bench with the way he is playing, you don't get any bump from his play.
