Just got in from Knoxville. I was in section QQ, never got one negative comment from a UT fan the whole day. At least 15 times I was congratulated and given kind words while leaving the stadium. I wish we could swap Tenn for Florida on our schedule rotation. Count me as a new Tennessee fan.
They would probably appreciate that comment if you posted it on their boards. It makes me feel good when opponents come to BR and post kind things or send nice letters to the editor in the Advocate.
I was in MM and there were a few problems. About 5 or 6 cups were thrown after the Doucet TD. One hitting a Vol fan's wife. He came up to the LSU fans to let the thrower know they hit someone. I'm sure the coward was gone by then. These are the people giving the good LSU fans bad rep. I agree their fans were great. These people are NOT sore losers at all! I can't wait to go back. I tailgated at Hooters before the game and went back afterwards. The girls there were awesome. They talked a little trash, but we trash talked them back as well. I reminded them that Louisiana gave them their best QB. They were much nicer than the girls in Lafayette.
Yeah, I just got back and sat amoungst UT fans and was treated great. I had a great time, and really enjoyed the atmosphere and stadium.
I was in section GG. We had a couple of UT fans escorted out by two of Knoxville's finest. I think they were throwing stuff, not real sure. But for the most part, UT fans are class act. The guy next to me was a UT fan, and he was f bombing Fulmer the entire game. UT fans hate Fulmer more than we hate Miles. And he, as well as other UT fans, admitted that if they would have won it would've been cuz we gave it to them. I have some pictures that I will share as soon as I download them.
Yeah, when I got to knoxville friday, I couldn't get a wireless net. for my laptop. I got pics I will put up tomorrow when I download them.
Felt the same way. Was in section Z and got the same reception. I enjoyed tailgating with some of the Vol fans.
