A teary eyed Tubbs steps up to the Mic and says that for the best for the AuNation, he is resigning and will be part of the continuing paid coaches in the athletic dept (see Pat Dye and Terry). He cites his health and pressures of the job.. but War Eagle folks David Howsel (Bobby Lowder) says a national search is under away as we speak and they hire Bobby Petrino from Louisville. Pretty strong vibs here that this is going to happen. Also in an unrelated note, a pretty funny story is that Tubbs said that not only was he upset that Obdu??? dropped the ball in the endzone but it dashed his hopes of running off the field to get to hug Jill Arrington after the game.
