You fail to understand that what you might read on a message board isn't the attitude of the Administration at Bama. While there appears to be sufficient evidence of boosters from UT being involved in the Means fiasco, these allegations coming to light this week have been known for quite some time now. If it's news to you, I mean no disrespect. Bowden has been saying things of this nature since he took the job at ABC. This book coming out will only bring more of it to light. If you want a case in point of my arguement about the ADMIN of the University, look no further that how the situation was handled in Huntsville, AL and LSU's involvement. It was addressed quietly and calmly from one staff to another. That action/situation flies in the face of your "scorched earth" comparison. T
Guys, I'm not going to allow a tit-for-tat argument of unsubstatiated allegations to get started. If what you have to say is a matter of public record, ie. press release or published news article then fine but if it's "someone in the athletic dept told me..." then don't waste our time because it will be gone.

Terry s right in his post above. This is old news. I would just note that one of the key characters involved is former Auburn Pres. William Muse. Dr. Muse has just resigned at East Carolina after two audits indicated accounting irregularities and misuse of university funds. I won't bore you with more background but just be aware that the NCAA has known about all this for 2-3 years and has taken no action I know of. It's also funny but the guy who is writing the series of articles in the Auburn-Opelike paper is also spreading this "news" all over the internet in chat rooms like this, etc. What is his motivation??
