Someone posted on another thread that they felt like LSU would have the advantage Saturday because they can pass better than Auburn. Well, it looks like Auburn coaches may have the same feeling. Below is an excerpt from an article with a few quotes from AU coaches and a player. "I think Michael Clayton is one of the best - if not the best - players in this conference," Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said. Said defensive coordinator Gene Chizik: " Michael Clayton is a phenomenal football player. He is the most physical football player I've seen at the wide receiver position in a long, long time, on top of being very talented and an excellent receiver." Clayton will be a focal point for Auburn's defense when the 17th-ranked Tigers play No. 9 LSU on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. The game will be televised by ESPN. Auburn cornerback/safety Junior Rosegreen says Clayton will be a challenge. "He's going to give me his best and I'm going to give him my best. It's going to be a 15-rounder," Rosegreen said. "He talks trash, too. He's not going to shy away from contact and I'm not going to shy away from contact." This is going to be one exciting game to watch. Claytons numbers are down a bit because everybody is doubling up on him. But this has freed Green and Henderson to get open against single coverage. Clayton loves to hit. He is a devastating downfield blocker and plays safety at times. He also is a monster on kick coverage teams.
