Should OU struggle to win for a 3rd straight week against Nebraska, Auburn will overtake OU for 2nd place in both the AP and Coaches polls.

OU will need to beat Nebraska by at least 35 points to offset the total domination by Auburn over Georgia. Anything less and Auburn will be that much closer to OU for 2nd spot in the polls.

Bottom line is Auburn wins out they deserve to be in the title game.

I think the pollsters realized that games at Oklahoma State and at Kyle Field were tough games and any win that they got in those games were good wins. Oklahoma shouldn't have any trouble blowing out Nebraska. Bottom line is any of these three teams (if they all win out) will say that they deserve to be in the title game, one is going to be dissapointed (wish it would USC, but looks like it'll be Auburn).

If OU wins this game 35-31, Auburn will find themselves #2 in both the AP and Coaches polls.

Agreed, but I do not see that happening.

I just don't see Auburn getting the benefit here. The spread of the OU and Neb. game is 30. I think OU will cover that. Now, if OU pulls another one out their butt, maybe, just maybe, more votes will move to Auburn. Remember...there is still a few more weeks of voting after tonight.

There are 2 more weeks for Auburn to make their move, but this is the BIG week for them. They just crushed Georgia and OU is favored big to win.

Auburn beating Alabama or Tennessee will have less effect on moving up in the voter's minds.

So basically if they don't at least get very close to catching OU in the polls after tonight, it's all over but the crying.

I think without a doubt that USC should be dropped to #3 if Oklahoma wins tonight. Auburn and OK are both much better teams that the guys from the west coast. Maybe Arizona can catch them sleeping tonight (yeah it is a longshot but you never know)

I am waiting for Notre Dame to do the damage to USC. I think Notre Dame has 1 more stellar performance left in them.

the funny thing about this whole scenario is that of Auburn, USC, and OU, the team that is least deserving of being in the top 2 is USC. USC's schedule has been soft, and they are surviving totally on their media darling status. OU has run a gauntlet of Texas, Oklahoma St, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech, all ranked teams.

The AP needs to put their weenis envy aside and put USC #3.

Notre Dame always seems to come up with a huge win right when Ty Willingham looks to be gone (see: Tennessee and Michigan). After a loss at home at Pitt I think that only a win against USC would save Ty's job.
