Looking at Auburn's schedule, could they possibly be the best 7 and 5 team in the country by the end of the season? USC (L) Georgia Tech (L) Vanderbilt (W) Western Kentucky (W) Tennessee (W) Arkansas (W) Mississippi St. (W) LSU (L) (Mauck will have a clutch game) Louisiana Monroe (W) Ole Miss (W) Georgia (L) (Georgia will pound Auburn like a bulldog on a prosthetic leg) Alabama (L) (You never know with this game)
In case you dont know we make mortgage payments Sanford Stadium because we own that place. It has been years since UGA has beat us on their home field. We refer to their place as Jordan-Hare East.
My only comment is this: Georgia will not pound us. Georgia may not even beat us. But even if they do, they will not pound us. The last time Georgia won by more than 11 was 1976 when they won 28-0. On the other hand, Auburn has pounded them a few times since then: 1977: AU 33-14 1979: AU 33-13 1987: AU 27-11 1989: AU 20-3 1990: AU 33-10 1999: AU 38-21 Heck, even during UGA's great run from '80-'82 with Herschel, Georgia managed to win by scores of 31-21, 24-13, and 19-14. Moreover, the Georgia series is an oddity in that the visiting team usually wins. At Auburn, UGA leads the series 11-8-1. At Athens, Auburn leads the series 17-8. (On neutral sites, UGA leads the series 27-26-6). Georgia has not beaten Auburn in Athens since 1991. All the others are legit, at least in theory. The Iron Bowl is always unpredictable. The LSU game will be tough.
Who cares about what happened from the early 90's to the Pre-Richt era? Honestly, who gives a rats ass? That really is quite a pathetic excuse for why a team would win a game RIGHT NOW. Ask Tennessee if their 9 game winning streak helped starting in 2001. UGA hasn't had success against Auburn the last 15 years at home but that doesn't concern me one bit. I think we should win.
You Auburn guys certainly know your history but it seems that the 1st 2 weeks of this season never happened. 23-0 and 17-0. It happened, it's fresh and it's a sign your team is not all you want them to be.
Hey lets not get to cocky about Saban putting an end to Bama's dominance in Tiger Stadium. They did beat us 31-0 last season in TS.
Bauburn Boys Gettin Cocky. The lads from Bauburn are confident that they will whip LSU on Saturday. You can sense it in their players and in their fans! If our players could see this as I do, they will be fired up and focused for this game. They will want to beat the hell out of Bauburn. After LSU beats butt on Bauburn, I will enjoy the lack of Bauburnites posting on our board. GEAUX TIGERS!! BEAT THE BAUBURN TIGERS/WAREAGLES/PLAINSMEN!! :geaux: :lsug:
Hey Frenchie what the hell is bauburn? Put down the bourbon and sober up before you start making up words.
