:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: some of these things baffle me... Aubarn was rock solid in their bowl game too!
Those poor kids, it's all going downhill from here for them.. The Pete Carroll of the pre-Belichick Patriots started showing his face in the late stages of that NC game.
I agree... he hasn't had to make any decisions of any value, b/c of the weak schedule and # of blowouts they have
I think WVU is overrated. Georgia lays an egg for the first half & suddenly everyone thinks that WVU is a great team. Did nobody watch the 2nd half? Oklahoma will be back on the map, but top 5 might be a bit high. I haven't checked out their schedule though. They may only play one good team - Texas. Auburn's Brandon Cox looked so good due to a strong OL, with senior receivers. With all his receivers gone, his growing pains will become more clear. Auburn should have a very good season, but I don't think they can go undefeated. Virginia Tech at # 7? Pfffftttt. They will drop off at the end like always. I'm suprised to see LSU not even in the top 10. I suppose he feels that the combination of our road schedule & departing seniors will be too tough for the team to overcome in order to be a top 10 team. The main thing that I've been worrying about recently is - the media makes it seem like our huge bowl win could be a confidence booster going into 06 & will make us a better team, but I think it's possible that it could have the opposite effect. I hope we don't get cocky & complacent leading up to the season because it could make things rough.
like i always say, it's not what we're ranked in the begining of the year, it's how we finish in the end...:geauxtige :crystal: :geauxtige
First let me comment that whoever is picking Auburn #2 preseason is smoking pot. Second I would note that the way the BCS is working, it is in fact important to be ranked as high as possible preseason.
