I am going to be on the highway headed from North LA to Del Rio Texas and want to be able to hear the Tigers on the radio for the Ole Miss Game........ Does anyone know a Radio Station in Texas that would carry them??? It is on CBS......... Does CBS have an AM station for coverage of their games???? Please help :geaux:
1130 KWKH out of Shreveport or WWL 870 out of New Orleans. You need to wait until dark. Both of those stations are clear-channel stations (50KW). All other stations that are on those frequencies during the daylight have to be off the air by sunset.
I think you're SOL, bud. Try and find a sports station from Dallas. If it's an ESPN or Sporting News station, they should have regular scoring updates on all major college games all afternoon long.
none in dallas play the tiger games. on a real clear night you can hear 870, but good luck. i would stop at a bar and watch it
1130 out of Shreveport and 870 (WWL) out of New Orleans are what I listen to. But, you can only pick 'em up at night where I am (Houston area). Your best bet is to pull into a bar for a few hours, or leave Sunday! Or, perhaps a wireless/cellular internet hookup would do the trick? Tigers 31 elephants 0 :geaux:
I'm in Houston, and I get 870 at night, and it's pretty clear. You can also get the game on the internet.
OK. For all you who suggested WWL 870, it's the Ole Miss game that the guy's interested in....hello??? 2:30pm kickoff??? It's not night at 2:30pm except in Alaska! HA I would suggest you take the due south route to I-10. You can catch your local Shreveport LSU sports radio affiliate, then Alexandria's, then Lake Charles' (1470 am). This will get you through the first 2-2 1/2 hours of it...maybe more, depending on how fast you drive. After that, you're on your own! I don't know of a Houston station carrying LSU games.
