Where is everyone going out in Atlanta friday and saturday night? I know in the past we had usually headed to Buckhead. Is this still the good place to go out? And can anyone post some good bars to check out in the city. :geauxtige

I talked to the Evil Twins, and they are going to Champions Sports Bar (pretty sure thats the name) in the Marquee Marriot in Atlanta. There are plenty of places to go in the ATL.

If you're an old fart like me, check out Johnny's Hideaway in Buckhead. Lots of ripe fruit there.:hihi:

I'm talking about a cool place for 20-30 something age range with LSU fans. But, is not a sausage fest.

East Andrews is where the Alumni associated hosted a party in 2003. There is typically a ton of talent there, LSU took that place over 2 years ago...WAFB was even there! And yes, East Andrews is in the heart of Buckhead. :geauxtige LSU! And SabanFan is spot on with Jonnie's Hideway for the mature crowd. Saturday night I would recommend the Clairmont Lounge for a good time. A truly historical ATL venue!

East Andrews is a good suggestion .... it's also close walking distance to several other Buckhead party spots and ESPNzone, Fados Irish Pub, Steamhouse Lounge, Cafe Tutu Tango, etc. If you can't get it done there, give up .... :hihi:

Also - for those of you with families, I'd suggest the new Atlanta Aquarium - it just opened and is getting rave reviews, but also a ton of traffic. Reservations are highly recommended, but it's a great way to spend the day with your family.

Hope to see some of y'all at the game :thumb:

The Clairmont is on Ponce De Leon about 2 miles straight east of Midtown near Highland Avenue.

For those who just want to kick back on Friday night and mingle with the locals, Virginia Highlands is the closest area to downtown where you will find a 20s-30s young professional crowd.

Typical small bars, restaurants and clubs on Highland Avenue running from Manuel's on North Avenue to about Virginia Avenue.

Buckhead is pretty boring. I much rather the Highlands, Cabbage Town, or Little Five Points. A night out in any of those places is easily 50 bucks cheaper than Buckhead.

Where are these places and what kind of bars do they have. Last time a bunch of us went to Coyote Ugly, and besides spending way too much money we had an excellent time.
