IMO..the ASU game being moved to a road game in Tempe was great in helping the Tigers prepare for last nights victory in a hostile environment. Maybe we win that game regardless, but it could very well have been a blessing in diguise.

Who went to that game. How was the atmosphere different between ASU and UA?

Never been to a road football game. Prolly will take the trip to BR next year!

LOL. If you think the environment at ASU is hostile, you got another thing coming! It is anything but hostile. ASU could not even sell out the game. And that is normal for ASU. They even dropped the prices of some tickets on the last day to $10 so that they could possibly sell out the game and raise the most proceeds possible for victims of Katrina. ASU still fell 8,000 short of selling out while tickets were only $10. :dis:

You have to remember that until the week of the game, the game was scheduled to be in Baton Rouge. That has a lot to do with why the game was not a sellout.

Having said that, there's no way in the world I'd compare the best gameday atmosphere in Tempe to Tuscaloosa yesterday. I think the ASU game may have given us some valuable experience in pressure games, but I'd say not that much in the hostile environment category.

Had that happened and the game had to be played in Tuscaloosa, tickets would have sold out in 10 minutes. :thumb:

I think, given the circumstances surrounding the game, the ASU fans that did attend weren't going to be as rowdy as what is "normal" for them...

IT wouldn't have happened in BR.... because it would have been sold out months before... and I'm sure that it was anyway, so a moot point.

Normal for ASU is polite LOL :hihi:

And Arizona had plenty of warning that the game was being moved here to Tempe. That was not the reason it was not a sell out. The reason why it was not a sell out is because this is Arizona. And that was Tempe. Maybe you haven't seen a Cardinals game recently, LOL. This is in no way a football town. Not for college, and certainly not for pro. ASU did sell out for USC I think. But USC had ALOT of incoming travelling fans. You could hardly tell the difference in colors between the 2 with the fans in the stands.

And again, congrats on showing those ASU panzies what real college football truly is all about! :thumb:

  10. That game was almost a disaster for us, I cant believe that ASU ended up sucking later in the year.
