I wanted to know what you guys thought of this statement made in this paragraph....

It seems to me like the names should be reversed. Russell is the more accurate passer and Randall is the better athlete. Maybe they just got the names mixed up, but if not then they obviously haven't been watching these two very closely.

Russell is more accurate but is one dimensional. Having Randall in the game is like having an extra running back in there. I wish Russell would run like Matt Jones, could you imagine.

Russell isn't a slouch running the ball, but he isn't the scrambler that Randall is.

Have not watched much NFL but would anybody be safe in comparing JR to Culpepper.
Not that it matters . Just curious

If theres anyone in the NFL I'd compare JR to it would be Culpepper although Russell is probably a step slower. On intermeddiate routes I think that JR has the potential to have a much better arm than Culpepper, but Culpepper throws the deep ball better (Randy Moss obviously helps him out there), but we really haven't had the chance to see Russell go down the field too far.

This is, obviously, just a guess, but I think one big reason why Saban won't commit to Russell 100% of the time is the play of the offensive line.

Kinda hard to get used to the pace and rhythm of the offense and the college game itself if you're flat out running for your life against quality competition.

Don't be surprised if we see less and less of Randall, win or lose, after this week. The patsies LSU has coming up should give both Russell and Flynn the chance to get playing time without getting killed or harassed in the pocket.

I would have to say they're somewhat similar, but Culpepper was slightly faster than Russell when he played at Central Florida. Clupepper seems to be a little harder to bring down due to his huge tree trunk legs, but Russell seems to have the better arm. Still kinda early to tell though.
