http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news;...slug=ap-t25-secchampionship&prov=ap&type=lgns "Georgia safety Tra Battle is still trying to get the ringing out of his ears from playing at Tiger Stadium during the '03 regular season. "If we were going against any other fans besides LSU fans, I think we would have an advantage," the junior said. "But when we went to LSU my freshman year, that was the most hostile environment I've ever been in my life. It was absolutely crazy. Even with the difference in the number of fans for this game, the LSU folks can hold their own. It probably equals out." " Nice. :geauxtige
I read a similar AP article this morning at my local coffee shop. This one was also mentioning how much louder we were in the GA dome a couple of years ago then the 2/3 GA fans that outnumbered us.:hihi:
I think the crowd will b closer to 60% UGA 40% LSU. Once we take the lead the the crowd will sound like 80% LSU and 20% UGA. How do i wish i was there!:geauxtige SEC :champs: 2001, 2003, & soon to be 2005
They predicted in 2003 that we would be half/half too but it didnt come close to happening. UGA fans are eating tickets up here like candy. It won't be close actual size wise
That reminds me of how loud the little LSU sections were at Bama. At the end of the game I almost forgot I was in Bama and not TS.
LSU fans may not out number the UGA fans but the more the LSU fans drink the louder they are. The game is at 5:00 PM so all the LSU fans will start drinking at 4:00 AM to get ready for the game.
On TV it you would have sworn that the game was played at LSU's homefield if you didn't know anything about Tiger Stadium. I guess what I'm saying is that the celebratory LSU fans generated about the same amout of noise that you hear home fans make at other stadiums (because none of them are even close to TS). Nice work!:thumb:
