Didn't see it posted yet. Nice article http://www.nola.com/sports/t-p/index.ssf?/base/sports-14/1098339968263000.xml
An interesting snippet from the article: "But one thing that made me realize it was a great play, Coach (Nick Saban) asked me if I realized if it was third down. And I said no. And he said, 'Well, then you weren't looking at the scoreboard.' And that's what they teach you is not to look at the scoreboard. So, that just let me know that I was playing ball." I would think that it's important to know what down it is. Situations like 3rd and long require a different style of play than shorter yardage plays. You wouldn't want to get a cheap illegal contact or pass interference penalty that would give an automatic 1st down, when a completed pass would be short of the marker. I guess Saban wants them playing the same whether it's 1st or 3rd down and I'm probably splitting hairs.
