From the Memphis Commercial Appeal, Nashville Tennessean and other area newspapers – Oxford – four (4) Ole Miss JUCO commitments have academic problems -- College of the Sequoias, A.J. Jackson, a 6-6 wide receiver who has been touted as the country's top junior college prospect by Scout.com needs to complete coursework and qualify and there is some doubt that will happen. There are also academic concerns about three (3) other junior college players who have committed to Ole Miss: Dion Gales, a defensive end from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College; Larry Dennis, a defensive end from Compton C.C.; and Eric Nicks, a fullback from Northwest Mississippi Community College. Fayetteville – former or current or something or other, quarterback Mitch Mustain, asked for his release from Arkansas, was given a release by Coach Nutt, was rumored to be going to Tulsa (following his high school coach who left Arkansas for Tulsa), was rumored to be considering Oklahoma, has now enrolled in Arkansas for the spring semester, but has not rejoined the football team. He reportedly is staying for the spring semester to give him time to decide what to do. (MIM comment – what a mess this is turning into for Arkansas fans, it’s like a never ending nightmare). Auburn - Super Southern 100 offensive lineman Lee Ziemba of Rogers, Arkansas announced today he has picked Auburn over Arkansas. Non SEC, but too odd not to be of some kind of interest --- Greely, Colorado --- A judge ordered a former Northern Colorado backup punter accused of stabbing the starter to stand trial on attempted first-degree murder charges. Mitch Cozad of Wheatland, Wyo. is accused of stabbing Rafael Mendoza, who suffered a 3- to 5-inch deep knife wound in his kicking leg last September.
Glad to see you put it into your own words and format, good job. I don't think that judge should have ordered that kicker to face attempted murder charges for that, he should just put him in a locked room with hs teammates, armed with little tiny knives. Let them all out in about an hour.
