Arm Strength Question

I've heard Russell can throw it 80 yards. From what I've seen I would bet he could throw it even farther.

Are there any records anywhere on who has thrown the ball the farthest?
Any world records or anything like that?

You hear a bunch of stories that sometimes sound like urban legends but I don't know where to look to get any sold facts.

 

john elway could throw a nerf football 110 yards. of course, the camera generally adds 10 yards.

i remember hearing that walter payton could throw it 50 yds from his knees.

i think doug williams could chuck it too

 

who would rival Russell in the NFL? Vick? Russell may have the strongest arm of all time.

Doesn't look like a level playing field. Still impressive, but that drop off is quite significant.

 

considering his javelin record, I'd imagine that Bradshaw could throw pretty damned far... then again, part of that was his speed...

 

The announcers were talking during the Sugar Bowl how far JaMarcus could throw the football. They gave the yards that he could throw it standing, from his knees, and sitting down.

I don't remember excatly how far it was though.

I can go look back on my dvd that I made and see what they said.
