Does anyone know what the true facts are about the Arkansas program? I don't really follow them that close. Seems like a lot of drama going on up there and not gonna be ending anytime soon.

Nutt hires high school coach as OC to get Mustain. Promises WR recruits they will pass the ball with this new OC. Nutt benches Mustain during the season and goes to a running offense. Some players not happy and their parents demand changes.

Couple of players now transferred and the OC quits. All is well in hogland.

This assessment is accurate. I've got a buddy I go to church with who is an Arkansas fan and follows the program on a day to day basis. He explained to me that the hiring of the highschool OC was forced on Nutt by those higher up. The "perception" was Arkansas was going to run a more balanced offense that leaned toward the pass setting up the run type approach. This "perception" was told to many of the Springdale recruits in order to get them to sign with the Hawgs. As you've already stated Nutt does the ole bait and switch and ran a predominantly run offense centered around two running backs. Even going as far as lining up the RB at the qb position on many occassions.

The parents of these recruits have now come out in the media stating that they were lied to with regards of the direction of the program in relation to the offense. One of the parents was actually quoted in an ESPN article (and I'll paraphrase) saying "If we would have known this was the offense they were going to run we wouldn't have signed here...".

One of the sprindale recruits has already transferred to Southern Cal. Now it'll be interesting to see if there is a domino effect with the rest of them....

Been telling you guys for a long time that Nutt is a cancer. Some laughed at that because we did, after all, win ten games. Now you can see why. I agree with the quote above from the other Arkansas fan. Frick Houston. Threve times.

I don't blame Gus one bit, and fully expect Mustain, Ben Cleveland, and maybe Andrew Norman to transfer as well. Alex Tejada, Lee Ziemba, and a few other recruits will steer clear or decommit soon. Make no mistake, we are in meltdown mode up here.

Nutt should have taken the Nebraska job. He was a fool to stay. It would have been best for him and for the Hawgs.

Off topic (sorta), but why does the Reece Davis on Gameday always call Nutt "the right Reverend"?

Nutt is known for his passionate pre-game and halftime speeches to his players. The preaching-style he uses has garnered him the nickname "Reverend"
