A steady barrage of points 14-14-14-21 over 4 quarters. ASU QB Sam Keller was 14 of 24 for 208 yards with 4TDs. ASU's stats would seem very impressive had not Sam Keller thrown 2 picks AGAINST TEMPLE. Sam also fumbled & was sacked for a safety. It seems Sam Keller is prone to making some poor QB decisions back there. He will not have the luxury of this against a vaunted LSU defense next week. His backup was 5 of 7 for 50 yards and a TD. ASU passing was 19/31 for 260 yards. ASU rushing had 44 attempts for 308 yards with no fumbles. They had an easy time of it against poor Temple. Total offense was 568 yds against a mismatched Temple team. Temple had 63 yards rushing on 34 attempts. Temple was 18/37 for 203 yards passing with 1 TD & 2 INTS.

Temple did manage 266 yards total offense against ASU. Hmmm!

I wonder what LSU's offensive attack will manage against ASU. I think we'll improve on Temple's 63 yards rushing & 200+ passing just a bit. I also wonder what LSU's defense will allow ASU? Do you think ASU will run 44 times on LSU? I seriously doubt it. Let's just hope for now the game is played.

If we play this game on the road, like some expect, they can likely beat us...

But either way it works... a good team has to be able to win at home and on the road...

LSU plays this one at home though

Sounds like ASU's secondary is a little weak to allow Temple to throw for that many yards against them, and that's with ASU controlling Temple's running game. LSU should be able to run the football much, much more effectively on ASU & it seems that would allow us to throw the ball even more effectively.

I didn't watch the game, but was the QB's mistakes entirely his fault or partially his O-line's fault?? If almost entirely his fault, we could see quite a few interceptions by our DBs. If the O-line's weak, their QB is going to be eating dirt all night. Either way, their in for some pain if they can't get those kind of mistakes down against LSU's defense.

I'm not going to comment on the outcome this has on the season since it "isn't important in spite of things" but how do you think Miles prepares for this game? They've been "practicing" for UNT for a long time and now we have to prepare for ASU as well as work out the kinks. How do you think Miles' gameplan will look as a result of this? Serious question.

Rust is one thing, but strength is another...

Strength doesn't go away with not having a game, so we will pound it on them with the run... I think

Miles is going to have to motivate these players - use this travesty to make them work harder & fight for not just themselves & their university, but their state. I heard he gave a really good speech at practice yesterday to fire the team up. I'm hopefull that Miles will be able to use this travesty as a positive for this team & not allow it to hender us.

As far as game planning for ASU; Miles hasn't been game planning for N Texas for a long time - he's been practicing the team for their own sake with no concern on N Texas. This week was all the time that Miles laid out to game plan & scrimmage against a scout N Texas team. This week's practice isn't being used as extra time with a ASU scout team though. It's focusing on the fundamentals & game like situations. I think that behind the scenes this is giving Miles more time to analyze Arizona St though & better game plan for them.

I expect LSU to be a little sloppy the first half against a solid ASU team. If we play the game in Death Valley, that should be a HUGE advantage for our team to be able to start the season with our support & would help them over come any rust.

I didn't see ASU's first game so I'm not sure what we are up against, but I believe that this team can beat any one it puts it's mind to.

I think we'll win, but if we do it in convincing style, I think we may really catch the eye of the media only after one game.

One of his int's was only about 10% his fault, 50% receivers fault, and 40% great play by the DB.

He was trying to thread a ball and missed behind the receiver ever so slightly, I don't think the receiver gave enough effort to fight for the ball, and the DB just wanted it more and basically stole it away.

Well, look at it this way. ASU was going to have at least a little bit of game film on LSU. Now they're guesses are as good as any.
