Let me say up front that I have been a Vanderbilt fan for 46 years, but I want to let others know what I think about the VandyMania.com Website, its Webmaster and other Vandy fans. Let me also tell you up front that I have been "booted" from the VandyMania Website and can no longer view or post. It would seem that the Webmaster and some VandyMania.com posters can't take any honest criticism, and in my opinion, their attitude borders on being "wimpy." I assure you that I NEVER used profanity, and I NEVER bad-mouthed players, coaches or other fans. I simply put last week's loss to Middle Tennessee in a brutally honest perspective -- and they apparently couldn't take it. If any of you were to visit VandyMania.com, all my posts were under the screen name "Embarrassed" and all were made on Sunday, Oct. 2. Here's an example of some of the things I said. Other posters were whining and complaining because an MTSU player allegedly celebrated by jumping on an on-field star. I simply indicated that MTSU wouldn't be celebrating if we didn't keep losing the game to them (as we have done all three times on our home field since 2001). I also pointed out that a loss like that wipes out much of what we accomplished by the 4-0 start, but I was only stating my opinion. And don't I have the right to my opinion? I guess I don't in the Vandy forums. As much as I hated the loss to Middle Tennessee, I HATE CENSORSHIP EVEN MORE -- especially unwarranted censorship. Do any LSU fans and/or forum posters agree with me?
Posting there under the user name "Embarrassed" was the main source of their issues with you I imagine. The name alone is indicative that you were there to stir the pot, whether it was your intention or not.
youre more than welcome here... as long as you don't spout off facts to blanco bob, youll have no problems! :thumb:
i'll give you a flashlight in payment of the ride how about that? Military issued and it has a road guard cone on it too.
Is it wrong to claim that you are embarrassed by something? Or is it wrong to state an opinion (forecast) that your favorite team is likely headed for a loss? I fully support the Commodores, and I'll be rooting (and hoping) for them to defeat LSU. However, I'm also a realist, and I feel that LSU will, more than likely, prevail. Following is the substance of one of the posts that probably got me booted: Vandy fans will likely see the team get an opportunity to come back against LSU from a three-TD deficit. But does anyone really think that the Commodores can do what the Vols did to reverse such a deficit? This weekend might not be pretty, folks. Don't I have the right to say that?
Why any fans would think - after losing to a Sun Belt conference team - that their team would even be able to stay on the field against LSU is laughable. edit. mtsu is not 1-AA.
