Scrappy, I started paying attention to this team, this program, and this coach when you were-LITERALLY-12 years old... Gerry DiNardo helped get LSU back up to some level of national prominence...but he couldn't put us over the top...That's why we went in another direction. I find it hilarious that you admit the guy's not the greatest basketball coach, but that you'll support him. Period point blank, you talk out of both sides of your mouth here on Tiger Forums...You say at one point that you aren't a fan, and are an admitted member of the "media". Then you say you support John Brady...You're supposed to be a non-biased observer, right? Or are you not an unbiased observer? Are you a fan? Which is it? You have never answered how it is that John Brady went to the Swee 16 while on probation, but has never come close again, either while on probation or now that he's 3 years out...What is the excuse? Get yourself a grip...and PROVE to me how this is a personal problem? What makes it personal? Prove it to me? You are like the rest of the Brady Butt Munch Lunch Bunch...One person makes a "statement" and then it becomes fact...Show me how it's personal...It's just a conviction...
It doesn't matter what we think. If Brady's the coach, I'll support him 100%. That goes for whomever the coach might be. It's not my job to analyze where the program is and where it's going. I am an LSU fan and I'll go along with whatever the powers that be decide. As long as they don't interfere in my job, I won't pretend to interfere in theirs.

SabanFan, what about the 8-10,000 people who didn't show up for the home games this year...Does it matter what they think?
Brady is going to remain at LSU for another year at least. Skip likes Brady - I don't know why or how much, but he likes him. Competing for the SEC West every year and finishing in the Top 4 in the Conference is good enough for the Athletic Department at this point in time. The PMAC has been routinely empty over the years - I think that people are VERY excited about the possibility of seeing Bass, Davis, and Tasmin Mitchell play together. If Bass decides to remain at LSU (personally, I don't see him staying) there will be a ton of pre-season hype and publicity that will excite the fans and fill the seats. Those three will be a show... LSU fans went out in droves to see Pete Maravich, they packed the house to see Chris Jackson and Shaq, and Stromile Swift had the turnstiles spinning at one point. I may be way off-base, but I tend to think that basketball attendance has lots to do with the personality of the team. If we get our dream lineup next year, people will attend the games for the simple fact that they feel like they might miss something - Stromile was like that. When Swift was at LSU I was skipping my night class every week because I had that lingering feeling that he might jump out of the gym and I might miss it. It's like the women's team, we are all in love with those girls and the way they play is exciting. For me, I will go watch LSU play football regardless of the talent, the ranking, the coach, the weather, etc - but when it comes to basketball, I want to see the players. Tasmin Mitchell will fill seats early in the year and the attendance will certainly increase if they win. Just my $0.02
So...Guess that means you didn't think Gerry Dinardo should have lost his job until Mark Emmert pulled the trigger? You & SabanFan are talking out of both sides of your mouth...You take those stances when it suits your own opinions...But I'm sure as SH!T you weren't telling your friends that, "We've got to stick with Gerry...He's graduating his players!" LOL!
TE, you seem to have some very personal things against Brady, and thats fine. I'm not a fan. But, I do support John Brady bc he is a family friend and a good guy. There is nothing wrong with showing biased towards a coach. If you listen to other shows, national or local, people will say if they like a coach or dont. I like John Brady. I could really do without the name calling from you about people who support John Brady. Thats very mature dude. Great Job. I can say if I support someone or not. I'm just against using "we" and "us" on the radio. You guys pretend like LSU is a hotbed that national coaches are dying to be at. It's not. John Brady has nothin to do with this. There are a lot of people who are not great coaches that do good jobs. I think that Brady is doing a good job. Everyone wants to go and blame this guy for all the problems with LSU basketball. It's not all Brady. This is a program that I feel is on the rise. I never thought I'd get ripped for supporting something of LSU but here it is. You keep up the good work TE. I respect your opinions but your a grade A jerk. :thumb:
BB, honestly though...Is that a reason to say it's okay that they're empty now? Why should we be okay with complacency because historically we have been? Why should we be okay with a team that elicits listlessness from its fanbase because we have periodically in the past? I just don't feel okay with mediocrity, and for better or for wose, the Brady supporters are playing against Brady non-fans who deal from a stacked deck, because the bottom line is that he has not been successful, consistent, or run a decent, respectable program.
