Anyone know? If yes, is the starting RB Justin Vincent? Is he expected to get a large portion of the carries, or is there someone else (Edwards, etc.) who will split? Also, do you expect Fisher to go back to the run a bit more this weekend, or work on the passing attack? Tia . .
Addai is most likely out and Carey is questionable. If they are both out Vincent is the starter who will probably get most of the load with Edwards getting some here and there. Just my guess, but I say we try to get the passing attack back on track.
I wouldn't count on either of them being ready for USC. I just hope that Carey will be back for the AU game.
I'm sure Vincent will start. As far as the backups, I think it will depend on who has the better week of practice (Edwards or Broussard). So far both Edwards and Broussard have 11 carries each. So history isn't a good indicator of one being ahead of the other at this time with regards to playing time. I wouldn't be surprised to see all 3 of them play. Unless one of them gets hot during some point in the game.
I would also expect to see all three if Carey can't go, which is likely. I look for some wide receiver screens and also to open up the vertical passing game. An end around or two would be nice, as would the QB draw. :geaux:
I would also like to see the draw...They need to let Mauck play his game, and that is running QB draws and rolling out.
All this running back talk is cool but I think getting back Jack Hunt is more important. I don't know if it helps us win the game against UF but I really don't think we'd have given up as many points or plays over the middle!!
I Hate to see someone get Hurt The fact that Saban is going to have to play more of the these Freshmen RB's is good. I dont think that Carey is a starter or do i think Addai can handle the load as the starter but 1 or 2 maybe all three of these freshmen RB,s can. I know they fumbled early and that is why they are not playing but 1 of them for sure is going to have to step up and carry the load for LSU to run the table. Addai last year was great as a #2 back but Vincent, Edwards and Broussard have the size to be the RB's at LSU. I really think that the fact that Saban is going to have to play 1, 2 or all 3 of these backs in the next game or 2 is going to go a long way for LSU this season. :geaux:
