I am really happy they decided to give Applewhite full control of the offense. I think that will be a big mistake with his lack of experience. This will be his first job as an OC after being a WR coach at Rice. IMO, this will be a good thing for the tigers.

I'm not trying to take a shot at Bama here, but personally I think that their offense will struggle no matter who their OC is.

He was the Rice OC last year, but still i agree very inexperienced...he was playng at texas only like 5-6 years ago.

He means that Applewhite will not be a strong OC which, in turn, will benefit LSU. :thumb:

It's definitely a gamble with Major Applewhite. It'll be interesting to see how he does vs the HC of Rice who is now at Tulsa in terms of who is more responsible for Rice's great season last year. He also was picked due to his Texas connections for recruiting I presume.

He was at LSU but bhelm is referring to Bama. :thumb:

That's true, but Applewhite is probably a step up from whoever they've had before, they wasted a couple great defenses the last few years.

I hear that they are probably moving Jimmy Johns to LB.

Think it was David Rader?? Don't quote me. Where are all the bama boys when we need them. Ah hell we don't need them cause it really doesn't matter. :hihi:
